Blue Mesa’s founding faculty created the Transformational Coaching Program out of years of master coaching experience and integrated, holistic application of the International Coaching Federation (ICF)’s core competencies.

Key differentiators of the Transformational Coaching Program include a full-hearted, fully-human, embodied approach to coaching that utilizes all levels of awareness of the coach and client for maximum outcomes. The design of the cohort fosters a level of community that creates safety, trust, and an opportunity to bravely practice skills with meaningful feedback. All graduates attest to the program challenging them personally to explore questions and ways of communicating they had not addressed at the level of depth the program offers. People don’t graduate as beginner coaches from the Transformational Coaching Program. They are already well on their way to becoming a master coach, thanks to the program’s solid learning frameworks, structures and tools.

The cohort model offers an intimate context for coaches-in-training to challenge each other in their growth and development. Learning environments vary in size and format for maximum learning and engagement—including: classroom sessions, group mentoring, one-on-one-mentoring, observed coaching and feedback sessions. The program builds effortlessly, providing participants with timeless fundamentals and complex, advanced skills in an integrated progression.

Blue Mesa’s Transformational Coaching Program is structured to provide an optimal learning environment within an intimate cohort structure that is form-fitted to participants’ needs and goals by world class, dynamic faculty who are coaches themselves. The program provides total of 96 contact hours with faculty, 48 of which take place in person or virtually in real time.

• Hybrid – Two 2-day  in-person / on-site augmented classroom sessions, including live coaching demonstrations and practice coaching sessions + virtual classroom sessions
• Ten mentor coaching hours
• Five observed coaching sessions
• Required reading and media assignments

Program requirements include:

• Completion of all homework assignments: weekly written lectures, coaching practice, other written and experiential assignments
• Full attendance of the assigned learning structures.
• Successful completion of the final performance review

If a participant cannot attend any of the required sessions, she/he may negotiate with the Program Director, prior to the absence, to establish an appropriate equivalent learning experience.

The International Coaching Federation (ICF’s) Core Competencies are the guiding principles of Blue Mesa’s Transformational Coaching Program.

Program graduates are eligible for the following ICF credential:

• Associate Certified Coach (ACC ) after 100 documented coaching hours

Blue Mesa coaches-in-training are eligible for certification when 100% of the program requirements are met, resulting in:

• Demonstrated practice of the ICF Code of Ethics
• Demonstrated understanding and application of the ICF Core Competencies and ICF Definition of Coaching
• Demonstration of consciousness, life-long learning, personal responsibility, skillful communication, prioritizing of relationships over results, and emotional maturity

Blue Mesa staff and faculty evaluate complete applications following each cohort’s deadline as listed (see below “Upcoming Program Dates” section).

Each cohort is limited to 20 participants, with each applicant being evaluated on individual merits and in relation to the entire applicant pool—in order to ensure a balanced cohort.

Notice of admissions decisions are sent via email within one month following the application deadline.

Once accepted into the program, a non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to hold your place in the cohort.
